With nearly 75,000 Members, APEGA regulates the practices of Professional Engineering and Geoscience in Alberta. The Association has served the public and Members since 1920.

Science Olympics is an interactive science competition and an interschool event. Students are given a series of applications or problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of exploring science concepts targeted for Grades 1 through 12. They cover many content areas of scientific study, while learning to work and interact within a group. Students are asked to use their science skills and ideas to develop creative solutions to problems given as a competitive challenge. Events are team focused and follow the Alberta school curriculum.
